I don't know how much I'll be using this site. But in theory this place could be neat?

There seemingly was a period in time when a bunch of cool people were on LiveJournal, and they seemed to like it. (I think this was around when my internet usage looked more like reading a print author's official website, downloading screensavers and icons to install on school computers, and perhaps reading Macworld.) If Livejournal-esque sites were good places to be before, perhaps they could be again.

I'm tempted to dive straight into custom HTML theme experiments, but this seems premature without blog content.

I am aware that Dreamwidth is a fandom community. I like fiction, but mostly I just follow glowfic these days, which is kind of already fanfic, so it doesn't have its own fan community. I do like what I've read of the Vorkosigan series, and I generally like Greg Egan's work? I should look at fandom tags here more.

Hello.

I've heard things about glowfic that make it sound like something I might be interested in, but I still don't really understand what it is, and it looks kind of daunting to get into. Any recommendations on where to start?
