I don't have a clearly-defined "biggest phobia", but in the past several months I've done a lot of slowly beginning to interact more with tasks that scare me a lot. I think it's gone well in that I was able to interact with these things more successfully than I expected, but reintroducing these things into my life has brought me pretty noticeable amounts of stress as well. I'd mostly do it the same way again, though.
At one point in the past, I had some depression which kind of ate a lot of my anxieties, and now I'm able to light candles and be assertive towards drivers when crossing roads, which is neat. I wouldn't recommend the method, but the results turned out great.
